Don't know if anyone noticed, but there is a field at the bottom of topics and replies... called Tags.
Wikipedia definition of Tags:: A tag cloud or word cloud (or weighted list in visual design) is a visual depiction of user-generated tags, or simply the word content of a site, used typically to describe the content of web sites. Tags are usually single words and are typically listed alphabetically, and the importance of a tag is shown with font size or color. Thus both finding a tag by alphabet and by popularity is possible. The tags are usually hyperlinks that lead to a collection of items that are associated with a tag. Click Here to link to Wikipedia Article.
In user friendly terms... if you ask a question about how to add to your favorites - and you enter "Favorites" in the Tag field... then posts containing the Tag "Favorites" can then be searched by clicking on "Favorites" in the Tag Cloud module on the right side of the Support Community.
This will provide better search capability in the future so you don't have to muddle through every blog looking for something regarding "Favorites".
You want to be specific to the topic, so don't use to many keywords (2-3 maximum) or it will make the search less efficient.
You will notice I tagged this post with the words "Tag" & "Tags" so it will be searchable in the future.
So that's what the Tags field is for!
Thanks for the clarification! For someone in the northern part of the state "tagging" has a whole different meaning, like spray painting wierd symbols on walls, fences, street signs, and slow moving dogs...okay, I made up the last one.
I was hoping we weren't being invited to spray paint the Network. :-)
Since this post it is totally devoid of any useful information I'll refrain from tagging it. (grin)
