Petfinder ID shows no dogs

I'm am a manager for our group. I'm trying to get the adoptable animals to show up. I did read the instructions in another forum topic so I know what to do... however when I put in our Petfinder ID our animals don't show up in the search. I get "0" matching. They are on the Petfinder site under the ID I'm using however here they don't seem to be in the database. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for the help!

Being new at this, I put an entry in the "Blog" area when I really wanted it to appear in the "News" area. Now it is on my main page twice! Is there a way to correct this?

Hi - Any ideas on how I can get more traffic, fans, activity to my network page, Celebrate~^..^~Claws? There is only 35 fans so far and with all the great happenings in the anti-declaw movement right now, it's frustrating that's there's not more involvement and discussions. Can I post the blogs anywhere else, or somehow get the page highligted?

For awhile I would automatically be logged in when I came to the network, but the past few days I have to sign in each time again, even tho' I've got the "log me in automatically" box checked. . Are other people having this happen? Is this somewhere on the "things to check out" list?

Dog licks rugs

My 2 year old lab/goldie mix licks our rugs. He has plenty of toys to play with and chew. He loves to lick the rugs to the point of creating a hole in the rug. He'll either be chewing a toy and start licking the rug or he'll just start licking the rug. I have had to cover the rugs with sheets to prevent the damage he does to the carpet. The apple spray has not worked at all. I've cleaned the rugs. Is there anything that I can do to stop this behavior of excessive licking from continuing? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I have answered Jennifer's post twice now but neither has shown up. I get a message about the messages needing to be reviewed before posting but it's been 24 hours since I first tried to reply and the group owner doesn't seem to know she's supposed to be reviewing. Was this change just made in the past day or two? Do the group owners all know about the change?

This may be kind of obvious, but when a group becomes a fan of another group, does it show up in the fan list or the group list? I'm not sure this is the right place to ask, but I could not find the answer in the support documents

Suggestions and request re: the new network

After working with the new network for a little more than a month, I have two unsolicited suggestions, and a request. The suggestions are:

1. With such a comprehensive overhaul, next time maybe take some of the most popular features of the old system (e.g., favorites, alerts) and make recreating those elements in the new system as easy and obvious as possible. That way people can have at least a little island of familiarity immediately while they explore the rest of the new system.

2. Once the changeover is made from old system to new, ask maybe a couple of dozen of your most prolific posters to make notes on what worked and didn't work for them the first month. After a couple of months, prolific posters are going to have facility with the new design and might forget what was most challenging about the adjustment. Their early input could be invaluable in making the transition easier for people the next time around.

And here's my request for the next upgrade: please give us a choice of getting alerts via email (as we do now) or getting them in-network (as we used to). I can understand that for people working with the network it could be a huge help to get new messages without having to be in the network all the time. But some of us liked to roam around the old network, maybe bump by chance into postings we never would have seen otherwise. Initially, I liked getting alerts in my email. Then I started to realize that when I was reading them I didn't feel like I was on the network. Well, I wasn't, really. And I started to notice that I was opening email alerts that said things like, "I agree completely!" and, of course, to have a clue what that was about I'd have to click the link to get into the network and figure it out. That's crazy-making with dozens of messages a day. The alerts used to be my way of keeping up with things I was interested in on the network, and now they just seem to add to my estrangement. The old network was like a comfortable neighborhood to wander around in. The new network feels like the lobby of a huge and very busy office building. I want my old alerts back! I don't want anyone to have to give up the new email alerts if those work better for them, but I do want to be able to work with alerts in the new system the way I could in the old one. So that's my request.

No longer getting network mail

The last alert that I received was at 11:54AM on 9/10. I am subcribed to a number of forums. I double checked my profile e-mail address and it is correct. I checked my spam folder and the messages are not going there. I unsubscribed and resubscribed to at least 1 forum to see if that would make a difference and it did not.

I know at least a few others are having this issue.

Cant post to lodge dogs

This network is so confusing and I am NOT a newbie to blogging and forums! I was attempting to post a review and pic of Shelby from the Lodges and the frustration of it all just makes me want to give up and forget it. I also was going to add for Theresa, Annie, etc but I am so frustrated by it all I really just want to bag it.

Why can I not post to that forum? It gives me a message that I do not have permission. I am a fan, (figured that part out).

I Think My "Favorites" Need TNR

I thought it was my imagination when I first looked at my list. My "Favorites" have been reproducing!!! Yegads, I have three of each favored item. Don't get me wrong, I like the forums and blogs I've selected, but I don't like them enough to have triplettes. To make matters worse, I can't add any new favorites. I've checked and nothing I've added in the past week is on the list. Perhaps my attempt to add a new forum or blog is instead cloning one that is already on the list? Here is my list:

Go Local Calendars

Are there still plans to bring back the calendar on each go local site? And if so, is there an ETA yet?

A related (sort of) question. I didn't want to start a thread on the calendars if there already was one, but didn't feel up to scrolling through 60+/- topics, so I did a search of the whole network for "calendar" and go LOTS of hits. Is there any way to sort out Search results by date -- say most recent first?

How do I email someone on the network

Inserting a photo into a Blog comment

Is it possible to insert a photo into a reply to a blog? They don't have tool bars or upload buttons. I think this is a blog that was brought over from the old Network. The person who wrote the blog would like to insert the photo into the blog entry (better than the reply actually) as part of her poem. Can she just go in and edit her initial entry and insert the photo? Here's the link to her blog:

State Go Local just moved to the Groups

THis happened last week, with the New Orleans Go Local. Now it just happened with the Louisiana Go local. It disappeared off the Go Local drop down list, off my list of Go Locals on my home page, and appears now as a Group. (sigh)

In March I adopted a Collie mix adult female that the local Humane

Society told me was spayed. Five weeks later, she gave birth to a

litter of puppies. I raised the puppies (who were apparently sired by

a Newfoundland) for 8 weeks and then Pets Alive of Middletown was able

to foster them , get them fixed, and adopted them out to loving homes.

Mrs. Puppy, the mom, is now recovering nicely, and enjoying being the

only dog in our household. I am producing a fundraiser for Pets Alive

October 17 at the Paramount Theater In Middletown, with my dance

company, Gaia Dance Collective and featuring other professional

dancers from the area. The performance will be at 7:30 pm on Saturday,

October 17, and all profits from tickets sales will be donated to Pets
