For awhile I would automatically be logged in when I came to the network, but the past few days I have to sign in each time again, even tho' I've got the "log me in automatically" box checked. . Are other people having this happen? Is this somewhere on the "things to check out" list?
I've haven't heard that anyone else is having this problem, but that doesn't mean they aren't. I'll put it on the list.

What Internet browser are you using? Is it set to accept cookies?
I have Internet Explorer 8.6001.
Now, today I WAS logged on automatically again. Some days I am, some days I'm not.
here I am again. At 10 AM I was logged on automatically. I left the network, I did sign-off when I left, did some other stuff, came back to the network, and had to log in again. Should I not ever sign-off?
What happens if you don't sign off and leave the Network? Are you automatically signed on when you come back?
That seems to do it. I left the Network, but did not sign out, went to another site, closed the browser, opened the browser, at the BF Home page clicked on the link to the Network, and I was already signed in.
So then I made a couple posts, again left the site without signing off, went to another couple sites, closed the browser, shut down the computer, rebooted. opened the browser (I made the BF home page my home page years ago. . . ) clicked on the link to the Network, and again, I was signed in.
so, the moral of the story is DONT sign out!
thanks! Also -- starting with your first reply to this posting I am again getting email alerts to posts on Groups where I am a fan. hooray!
Glad you found a workable solution.
Yes the alerts once lost, are now found. In fact my email in-box is looking like Niagra Falls at the moment. I guess I should be careful what I wish for. :-)
Also, be sure to check your cookies. If you want IE8 to remember your username and password, and stay logged in, you may want to set up your Internet Options to remember the cookies for http://network.bestfriends.org.
Good luck.
