This may be kind of obvious, but when a group becomes a fan of another group, does it show up in the fan list or the group list? I'm not sure this is the right place to ask, but I could not find the answer in the support documents
Thanks,
Erica
No such thing as a silly question here.
If you go to the home page of your group, you should see a list of your groups at the bottom of the left hand margin and it's referred to as "Our Groups". If you don't see that list check in your Editor's box (lower right-hand margin) under "manage groups" function and you should see them there. I believe the Fan list is only for human-type fans.

Ahhh.....
Ok, since there are no silly questions I have another one. For the life of me I can not see how to get my group "alive". It is linked to a Go Local (granted it is Turkey so there are few fans), but aside from fans, how can I get it going. Right now it is very sad with one member (me)
Thanks!!
Erica, you could provide more content in your group to make it more interesting. There is no news, forum or blog. Is it just for people from Turkey? Most of our Network users are in the U.S. Is there something they can do to help?
I see you have a forum on the Group now, Erica. Over the years I've helped start several forums for Best Friends, and one thing I've learned is that very few people want to be the first to post in a new forum. You'll probably need to post the first message yourself, start a discussion on the primary purpose of your group, a particular at risk animal, or any other related subject, and then shamelessly recruit friends to reply. :-)
If you have bios and photos of some of the animals needing homes you could follow Pat's example and post those as Forum messages as well. Everyone loves to see the photos and read about the critters. Once the ice is broken it's likely you'll see others starting their own threads in your group.
Good luck!
Marion
Erica,
Marion's right, sometimes you have to salt the mine a bit. Another big draw to any Group are the photos. Readers find animal photos really compelling and it will tend to encourage posters to comment on their content. The more photos the better.
