It's at the top of the Fourn "home page": Click on "Forums" in the menu on the right side of the page. That opens the list of all the forum. At the top, see Sorting and Filtering | Start a New Topic | Mark all read . There you go! :)
You can't "start a new topic" within a forum thread (all the posts under a specific topic). You start a new topic from the forum home page, which is the one with all the forums listed.
It really makes sense and flows quite nicely, once you (we, took me a little practice) let go of how the former network flowed. This has an entirely new rhythm to it, and it's very cool. :)

Im hvaing a problem with My org email account.It seems that everything i go into, send or post mostly on within the network,A copy goes to my Yahoo email. How can I stop this from the B/F site..I know I could block it from yahoo but im not sure, could it cause a problem on my account in the Network...nic
I believe that message appears at the top of each "topic" of a forum, not the whole forum. You will still get alerts every time someone starts a new topic unless you "unsubscribe" from the Group.

Thank you both I understand Now..Im confussed about another thing tho,I just got a mess from Margk in my inbox about the litterbox thread,and when I replied to her it showed up in my inbox ,is that the way it is sent or do I have to click on her screen name to send things to her..Also I noticed that our New inbox doesnt have a sent folder or a way to filter messages..Is mine set up wrong ?Thanks again,nic

They're still there, Kathleen, but all of the forums in each group are combined so our little friends have to share their space. All of the older messages have the name of the old forums as part of their subject, so you should be able to find them just by scanning the message subjects.
I figured out what I was doing wrong. I clicked on "see all" next to "news and events" because it was at the top and I didn't scroll down and see there were also forums and blogs with "see all" next to them.
Well, they say you learn from your mistakes.

I still do not have photos on by blogs. I did last week have one photo and now it is back to no photos.
I'll keep waiting.
Justice4Cats, I discovered a work around to get back all our old photos from our disappeared blog. Is that what you are trying to do? David
