I think crying hysterically for the first 24 hours was very cleansing. A new day dawned this morning and things looked a little brighter.
I love, love the email alerts function for the forum topics. Better than the old alerts page. Can you get an alert for the entire forum so you know when someone has created a new topic?
I also love that you can "style" your post with the tool bar right above where you are posting. No more codes.
Photos are easier to insert. I guess I won't be so popular anymore.

I like the look of the new network, but I am still fumbling around. For one thing how after posting can I get back to the main forum? What are the friends about how are they used? how do I learn how to post photographs? I tried going to help, but what came up did not match. Help

Just "Subscribe" to the Group.
You will always be popular, Pat! :-)
Good morning,
How do you know if you are "following" a forum thread? I see the state up on top about how many people are following, but how do I become a follower? Is that through posting to that forum thread?
Patty
I found an article that's titled 'And now the puppies are here'. When I clicked on 'New Friends' I got 'Page Cannot Be Found'.
I have to say, that even after a couple of days of trying to navigate this new network, I am having lots of trouble. I consider myself pretty computer savy, but this is cumbersome to say the least. I thought it was supposed to be easier. Hopefully, it will start to make sense soon. Thanks for all the hard work.
Also, it is slllloooowwww. Much slower than the old network.
Maybe there should be a page entitled 'How to navigate the new network'.
*PLEASE CREATE A NEW POST TO ASK YOUR QUESTIONS*
Sorry Joy, maybe I'm just being stupid, but how do you create a new post??
I have to agree on the slow part. I still "time out" before many of the pages open.
Go back to the main Forum page by clicking on "Forum," then click "Start a New Topic."
I am trying to remain positive because all new things are hard to get used to but some kind of basic instructions written out would have helped me, & those others that are somewhat computer challenged (but learning) would have helped a lot. Maybe a page with basic "1-2-3" instructions. How can I stop the posts from everyone from coming thru to my e-mail folder. Some, as before, I don't care to deal with but when I open, there they are! As of yesterday, when I try to reply to any personal e-mail, I am getting a message that there is not enough memory. I'm not sure that the e-mails flooding my account are not causing this. But, nonetheless, how do I stop this? This morning, no new e-mails & that is suspicious to me that something is wrong. Thanks for all your hard work & I hope all the kinks can get worked out for everyone. Geri
**PLEASE POST YOUR QUESTION AS A NEW TOPIC**
To do that, go back to the main Forum page by clicking on "Forum" from the menu on the right, then click "Start a New Topic."
There's a link you can click just about the "Prev/Next", on forum page, that says "Email Me When Someone Replies" or "Stop sending replies to me". Click that for the preference you want.
I to am having a problem wiht this, I dont see an option to "start a new topic"....any ideas????
