Kali and Skye Devereux celebrated their 7th birthday with a beach party at Brookside Beach in Mendham Township. They asked their friends to not bring them any gifts, but instead to bring a gift for a shelter/rescue dog. They collected 3 blankets, 9 towels, 2 dog beds, 35 cans of dog food, 6 bags of dry dog food, 9 boxes of Milkbone treats, 14 packages of other dog treats, 7 chewy rawhides, 13 collars, 5 leashes, and 20 dog toys! These items will be donated to Eleventh Hour Rescue of Rockaway, the group responsible for the rescue of “Daisy”, the mother of Kali and Skye’s adorable twin puppies Holly and St. Nicholas. Kali and Skye also received monetary donations which they added to with their own birthday money, and sent Shelter Showcase $100. This was the awesome rescue group that saved the lives of Holly and Nick from certain death in North Carolina.

Kali and Skye want to thank their wonderful friends for helping them celebrate their birthday in such a meaningful way.
