the Shelter Showcase Pet Adoption Expo on June 24 sponsored entirely by Best Friends Animal Society to celebrate Best Friends Day was well-attended and many animals found loving homes.

Approximately 40% of the animals in attendance found loving homes at the end, and the hosting shelter (www.njshelter.org) doubled their usual Saturday adoptions – especially for a rainy day! There were approximately 60 volunteers from 10 different adoption groups involved in the event. More than 30 pets found homes at the event.

There was approximately $500 raised by the groups, and one lucky winner will enjoy a trip to the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah.
