San Antonio seniors sew for ACS.

Word of San Antonio’s companion animal overpopulation is spreading. When seniors at La Estrella Adult Day Care Center learned about the issue, they took to their needles and thread. These community-minded seniors spent the last several weeks sewing beds and blankets for the shelter animals at the City of San Antonio Animal Care Services (ACS). In addition to sewing, they held several adoption events. On August 1, over 100 pet blankets were given to ACS Director Jef Hale at a ceremony at La Estrella.
