179 Dogs Saved from a Virginia Puppy Mill
Recently, Best Friends worked closely with local animal welfare groups and individuals to rescue 179 dogs from inhumane conditions at a puppy mill in Virginia. While we're very thankful that the dogs have been rescued from the horrible conditions in which they were living, securing the dogs was just the beginning of the effort. Now comes the hard part. Best Friends urgently needs the help of individuals and groups around the country to put these dogs on track for a happy ending to their ordeal. From medical assessment and treatment, to socialization, rehabilitation and daily care, to finding the right forever homes for these pets, there’s a lot to do - and you can help!
