I spoke to Lee this morning and received some very good news. Bill is totally conscious, talking and even recited a poem that he and Lee both love. He's on a regular diet now, and has been moved from ICU to a regularr room. Yesterday he got up for the first time and, with the help of two staff walked out into the hall and back to bed. He's still weak and the walk "wore me out", but he's made great strides in only a few days.
He's scheduled for a repeat MRI on Friday, and also Friday there's a family meeting regarding his radiation and chemo. There's still a long road ahead, but the outlook (short-term anyway) is positive.
We all appreciate all the prayers and candle glow that have followed Bill and the family through the last couple weeks.
Much relieved and grateful huggles
