Hi, all.  This is what I learned today.

My FOV test also showed some discepancies, and the Dr. Michael spent a lot of time checking my left eye (more than my right one), then made an appointment with a retinologist.  I'm supposed to see him on December 15th, but am on the cancellation list as a priority.  I also have to make an appointment with my rheumatologist to get my RA meds changed, so will make that call when Ted gets home.  Fortunately he's pretty easy to see.  The only other meds he's suggested is Remicade, so I'm hoping that  he'll come up with another one instead.

So I don't know any more, but my suspicions haven't been eased either.  Now I pray for a quick appointment from a cancellation with Dr. Trent.  But if I do have AMD, then better the dry type than the wet.

Thank you for all the prayers, support and love as I've waited..... only to wait some more. :0

I had to have those darn eyedrops in, and, even in a darkened room I"m making lots of mistakes here.  Hopefully I've caught them all, but if now, please forgive them, okay?  Right now I'm going to call and schedule that other appointment.  Talk to youwhen I can see better.

Huggles that are a little frustrated today.

My dear friend,

I know all to well the "hurry up and wait" scenario.  More prayers are on their way to see you through this next step.

Feel better my friend.

Much love, many prayers and infinite Hope,

I don't blame you for being frustrated Marf. After waiting all week to have to wait more than a month longer to find out what's happening would drive me up the wall. Would it be appropriate to pray for several cancellations right away? (s)

They dialated your eyes, I gather. They seem to take forever to wear off and everything is a blur until they do. I hope they're gone by now and that you're having a restful evening.

Marg - just another uncertainty. I am so sorry you weren't given a definite diagosis and now must wait. Getting an appointment with a specialist just is so frustrating and is the weak link in our health system. Right or wrong, I am definitely going to pray for a cancellation - and if that doesn't work at least you know you have many, many friends remembering you every day.

Hi Marf,

I was hoping you would get an answer.......but no. At least you have another appointment & I am going to pray for cancellations too.

Waiting can be so hard because it gives you time to imagine all types of things, mostly not good ones.

Try to think positive & maybe the time will go by faster. I always start thinking when I go to eye doctor & make myself scared, usually for nothing.

Best thoughts for you & prayers for cancellations,

Nancy

As you know, I also hate hurry up and wait.

But we are all here waiting with you and praying for good results.

Hugs Marf,

Kay
