On September 13 Cathy M and her Boston Terrier, Cleo, were involved in a bad traffic accident on Interstate 80 east of Evanston, Wyoming. Cathy was injured and was flown to Salt Lake City for treatment, but a terrified Cleo escaped from the car and ran off trailing her leash. Since Cathy was unable to help with the search she called on her friends, and Best Friends for help. Shelters from Evanston to Rock Springs were contacted and alerted to watch for Cleo as were the veterinary facilities in the area in case someone found Cleo and brought her in for medical care.
Sadly, on October 19 Cathy learned that Cleo had been killed on I 80 near Little America. It was not the news anyone was hoping for, but at least now Cathy knows that her Cleo is in good hands at the Rainbow Bridge where she will be happy and well loved until it's time for them to be reunited.
Please keep Cathy in your prayers, and sweet Cleo too.

How heartbreaking. It just shows how quickly our fortunes can turn. Cleo, though probably terrified in those last moments, is now in good hands, as you say, Marion. I hope Cathy can find solace and comfort from that and from Cleo, living on her heart.
Prayers for Cathy's speedy recovery from her crash injuries. God bless.
