Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. The good news is that Hero is still here with us! However, his energy seems low tonight and he's not eating as well as he should. (We decreased his appetite stimulants a couple of days ago) We see the vet on Wednesday to do another ultrasound to see what the tumor is doing. Please keep us in your prayers!
Also, Hero now has a new donation site with some photos of him. It's at http://seed.sproutbuilder.com/fwD999UhGqFib109
If any of you similarly need to raise funds for vet bills, this is a very good service, although hard to use. You can create widgets that you can post to websites, social networking sites, etc.
Purrs from Hero!
Sarah
I'm glad to hear Hero is still doing okay.
Prayers the tumor is not growing.
Until one has loved an animal, part of one's soul remains unawakened. ~ Anatole France
Fingers and paws crossed her that the tumor isn't growing too quickly, and that you and Hero will have more quality Bonus Time together.

My beloved Hero crossed the Rainbow Bridge Monday just before noon local time. I spent the night with him last night and we slept together for the last time for an hour or two. This morning he was peaceful and calm, and gave us many purrs.
His passing was quick and gentle. He was only 4 years old, and we shared less than three years together. My heart is totally broken and yet I know I did what was best for Hero.
I've posted a tribute to him on YouTube. http://tinyurl.com/ykovd6d I don't have many of our best photos of him, so hopefully there will be another someday.
Please add Hero to the candle ceremony.
Thanks to all of you who have supported Hero and me on this difficult journey.
Love and purrs,
I am so sorry Hero had to leave you to recover his health at the Bridge. I know he was met by my Siamese Pinky, our beloved Buddy (Butterball), Mischka, Heather P. Willow and the rest.
Hero truly was a special cat and I know he will have good stories to tell about his life with you.
Can I plant something for Hero in my Memory Garden this Spring?

Sarah,
The tribute to Hero was lovely. I'm so sorry you lost him so young & I'm sure you are devasted about it.
Just remember, he is well now. Cherish the memories as you grieve & maybe they will comfort you. He was here for a reason.
Godspeed,
Nancy
God Speed Hero!
I'm sorry your journey with Hero had to be so short, Sarah, but you did do the best thing for him, the only kind thing left for you, and I'm sure he appreciates it. You gave him the gift of healing, the healing he could only find at the Rainbow Bridge, and he has that gift now, free of pain and treatments, and general discomfort. Now he can chase the butterflies at the Bridge and roll in one of the many catnip beds there.
You'll see him again one day, and when you do I know the first thing he'll say will be "Thank you, Mom."
Hugs,
Marion
