Can you please add Basil, a senior basset, to the candle list? Basil is expected to cross sometime soon. He is quite sick, but also in good spirits, from the reports from his human, Edith and her family. She is, of course, very concerned, but also very wise and conscientious, so I know Basil is in good hands. Still, it's a difficult time as those of us who have been there know.
So prayers for Basil and his human family. It's hard to tell how long Basil will be with us, but if he crosses before Monday (Oct. 5), I'll try to get word.
Jean & the Tux
It is a difficult time, Jean. I'm keeping track of the list additions while Marg is so busy with Linda's family, and with her brother in law as well. I've made a notation to add Basil to Special Needs for the time being, and his family to Human Needs. If necessary I can change them, of course, before the lists are posted.
I've been where they are more than once and I can certainly relate to how they must be feeling. Please let the family know that they are all in my prayers, and that we'll remember all of them on Monday evening and that Basil will be on the appropriate list as well.
Hugs
Marion
Thanks much, Marion. I figured things were a bit busy for you with Marg busy with her own concerns. I sure have been keeping her in my thoughts and prayers. I worry a bit about her. I know how hard stress can hit you if you have arthritis. Just praying she has even just a little time to catch some rest, but sometimes that's not an option.
Prayers for Basil...and family.
Candi
A couple weeks ago I requested that Basil, a basset hound of my friend, Edith, needed some prayers and candle glow. Kidney failure appears to have been one of his problems. Basil is quite old, so the diagnosis wasn't surprising.
I thought I'd add an update and the news is good. Basil appears to have rallied and is soldiering on in good spirits, like good old dogs do. Edith, of course, is thrilled. When I read her report, I hadno doubt that the prayers and candle glow from Mondays ceremony had put a little wind in Basil's sail to give him some extra good bonus time.
Thanks, all, from myself, and Edith and Basil.
Please take care of yourselves and realize that Basil is most likely rallying for some bonus time with you. Enjoy and love Basil....unfortunately, kidney failure usually doesn't rectify itself and I lost the love of my life, my Wolf Hybrid to this. I was giving him fluids and did all the things that the doc said to do, but it was never enough....
Give Basil all the love and enjoyment and treats....you are so lucky to hvae this bonus time...time for lots of love, lots of pictures....
Enjoy this bonus time....sweet hugs to all of you
Jean, thank you so much for posting this update, and I'm so glad. "More good Bonus Time" are such comforting words and cause for much rejoicing, aren't they?
I've updated Basil in SN for Monday, and he, you and Edith all remain in my prayers. (I've been watching, but not writing the last couple weeks).
Huggles and lots of prayers
Marf
