Ever heard the expression "can’t see the forest for the trees"? Sometimes you’re so close to something you don’t even know what you have. Case in point: Everett the Best Friends parrot. Only recently did his true professional aptitude surface. Looking back, it’s so obvious what he should have been doing with his life all along.

Everett, like many parrots, has a strong fetish for all things paper. He loves to chew whatever he can get his beak on. From phone books to sheets of cardboard, he’s a one-bird shredding machine. Another fetish of many birds, Everett included, is that they like messing with things. Stuff like, oh, keyboards. Calculators. Dining room furniture sets. They are incredibly curious animals, parrots.

One day, Everett was cruising through his usual pile of paper waiting to be recycled. It was all fun and games, of course, yet he couldn’t help but feel his talents weren’t being put to their best use. Then, inspiration struck. Somebody gave him some pads of paper and a calculator … and a moment later, a CPA was born! (Don’t bother him with all the requisite formal training. Everett relies on raw talent.)

Need somebody to file your taxes with a bit of flair? Everett is your guy. Have some pesky incriminating documents that might cause problems in a potential audit? Well, let’s just say it’s not every accountant who can double as a document shredder. For a handful of pistachios and perhaps a shiny toy or two, Everett will have your taxes done in a jiffy.

At last, everyone can benefit from his genius. You know, many animals love having a job of some kind or another. A few, though, want to do something more than bring in the paper every morning!
