About Pippin
He's so sad, sometimes he tears out his own feathers!
You can't blame him. Pippin was badly neglected in his last home. In fact, he was being kept in such wretched conditions conditions no bird should ever know that the breeder who sold him to that home took him away and gave up breeding forever! That's how terrible his home was.
Now, Pippin is a little bit of a nervous guy, and he's going to need lots of patience and love to help him overcome this plucking at himself' habit.
But he's only ten years old (with an expected lifespan of about 20). He's an adorable little cockatiel. And he has a real gentle sensitivity about him. He's tuned into people and can kind of read' them. That means he could form a bond with you and be your friend; he just needs extra time and understanding.
