6 months after my husband and I were married we rescued an English Bulldog that had some health issues. I started to do some research on how to help other animals and came across the book "Not Left Behind" the Katrina dogs. I ordered the book immediately for Christmas for my husband, since he has family in Louisianna and thought he would be interested in it. When it came I looked through it first, before wrapping it for him. At the back of the book was the Best Friends info and that they are located in Utah. I was so interested that I looked them up online and became educated on the issues we face in this world for protecting animals. I have been a member and advocate ever since and now I work on educating people about puppy mills and rescuing pets, and behavior consultations. I would not be where I am today without Best Friends

I'm a Best Friends member because I keep going back to the website to see what animals are up for adoption and I watch the series, "Dogtown". This year, I decided to join the network and connect with other animal lovers.
