Transport Drivers Urgently Needed
The county has informed us that the shelter staff will not be allowed to drive on transports. Without their help, we will not be able to get any dogs or cats placed in rescue.

Drivers are needed for Saturday morning transports in these areas:

Pt Pleasant WV to Parkrsburg WV
Parkersburg WV to Clarksburg WV
Clarksburg WV to Morgantown WV (or Cumberland MD)
Morgantown WV to Cumberland MD
Cumberland MD to Hagerstown MD

Please email us at mcasrescues-owner@yahoogroups.com if you can assist.

Boy is your county something from barbaric times? You can't do this for the animals and you can't do that for the animals? Your shelter is closing and you get no help for officials. It's almost like your county wants these animals to die and to me that's just plan sick. Great officials you have there and you can keep them there. Most communities and counties are working tirelessly helping animals and trying to improve the animals lives and make no-kill communities and your doesn't even want to give the animals a chance. I hope they all get their just punishment for that!!

The county commissioners are working to turn this place around. But the shelter needs help. This is a poor rural community. Here is what they need:

Wish List

The shelter needs your help in another way. The shelter has been operating on a shoestring and needs so many things if we are going to work with the county to help make it a successfully run shelter. Right now there is little dog food, no medicine, no computer and no office supplies, not so much as paper and envelopes. Will you help? Here is a wish list. If you can send any of these items in the next few days, it would be much appreciated! Send the items you wish to donate to Mason County Shelter, 1965 Fairground Road, Point Pleasant, WV 25550. To make sure the item you want to donate is still needed, call the shelter directly at (304) 675-6458

Why can't the shelter workers drive the transports? Since when do elected officials dictate where private citizens can or can't drive?
