Ever see that classic movie "Goodbye Mr. Chips"? Well one of the newest residents at the Lodges is a lot like the shy and unassuming British professor from the movie. In fact if you look at his picture, he even has that "British professor" kind of look, don't you think? Mr. Chips recently moved over from Peach and Daisy's with his best friend and lady love Cinderella . Just like the character in the movie, Mr. Chips can take a little time to warm up to new humans, but don't let that keep you from stopping by to take him out for a walk. One of his caregivers will gladly leash him up for you ( Mr. Chips kind of likes the idea of having a "dresser" as do many prominent stage actors) and off you'll go for an in depth nosy exploration of the territory. He loves to sniff and poke around and show you the path. He's not one for a lot of petting, but just loves to be with you and enjoy the exercise. His fondness for soft squeaky toys knows no bounds. He'll happily take the toy from your hand and disappear into his doghouse where he humanely disassembles it............rapidly! And then out he comes again for another toy. He's doing his part to stop the global overpopulation of squeaky toys. Thanks Mr. Chips, we were all worried about that. Mr. Chips gets lonely when his best friend Cinderella goes out on a walk without him, so maybe bring a friend when you volunteer and take the two out together. They're just the cutest couple.

Robin and I take Chips and "rella" out on walks about three times a week. What an adorable couple! They love their walks, and they LOVE going to the dog park on Sundays. Chips is VERY affectionate, and often on his walks, he'll jump up and lick your hand. We are planning on taking Chips and his gal on an outing this week. Another couple of dogs we have fallen in love with....

Guess what? I visited the Lodges yesterday, and I learned that Mr. Chips and Cinderella have moved to Peaches and Daisy! And guess who is now in their run? China! I love China. I remember when she was at Amra's. Welcome, China! (I love the fact that Lodges is getting so many pitties. There's Debo and Jager and Scratch and China and..lots more!) Is Jager posted on the Lodges site? Maybe I've missed her. She's a sweetie, just like China!
