What can I say about Coconut? Well, she's "Coconutty"! Fun, fun dog to take on a sleepover. She was sleepover dog #3 from last week. She was the first dog to stay in town with me...due to this being a last minute trip, I had to stay in town 2 nights. We were at Bob Bon and she was a very good girl!
When I went in for my dog, I asked for someone who hadn't been out recently. Coconut was the lucky girl! She didn't do too well on the car ride. Lots of excitement and so much to see! She's definitely the co-pilot type..."I believe I see a pot hole down the road". :o) Her favorite spot to ride was on the center console of my car so driving was a little challenging.
We checked in and she was very good while I did what I had to do. First thing she did in the room was rub all over the bed. I did have to keep the garbage off the floor as she kept trying to get at some food containers in there. As mentioned previously, she is SO attentive. And very smart. They warned me to not let her play me...and she did! She wouldn't get in the car one time so I broke out the treat bag. Of course, from that point on, there was no going in the car without a treat. LOL
She pretty much stayed on the bed the whole time and slept. A couple of times, she get excited while rubbing herself on the bed and mouthed my arm. Walking on leash was fine with some pulling. She's a good listener...knows commands and really focuses. One thing she loves is her treats so make sure you have a supply! She likes to play with toys but I did have to take one away because she was determined to rip it to shreds. No overnight accidents.
When the caregiver got her the next morning, I handed her over and started to walk away. I turn around and there's Coconut trying to follow me. I could hear the caregiver say, "I know, you get attached." Someone hand me a tissue. :o)
All in all, a good sleepover with a fun doggie!
I got to meet Coconut last week and take her on a walk. She's so pretty and SO photogenic!

Sorry!! I meant Coconut. I have looked at all these dogs that need harnesses and got the wrong name on my post. Hugs to you Coconut.
I just got off the phone with the Welcome Center and Coconut will be getting a new red harness to wrap up all of that nutty goodness.
Thank you, thank you, thank you Mike Jackson for purchasing Coconut's easy walk harness! Isolde will be bringing it up to the Lodges on Thursday, and I will put in on Coconut and take her on a LONG walk. Bless you for your kindness. We are all so pleased!
Jeanne,
I'm glad to be able to pitch in any way I can. Enjoy your walk with Coconut.
