pattycatty: It's the smug look on Hera's face that's so funny. I got stuck at the end of the driveway leading out of the cottages to the paved road while walking Theresa. She just sat down and wouldn't budge. I'm not strong enough to carry both Theresa and her ball ( those balls are big!) so I sat down too. We must have been quite the sight. Cars coming in had to drive around us. She finally got up and started pulling on the leash. I just sat there. She glared at me, "you silly human, why are you just sitting there?" It was kind of fun giving her a taste of her own medicine. I wish I could say it cured her, but she did it again on our next walk.

Haha! That's awesome Pat. I would have like to have seen that!
Hera got her own news story this week.
"Queen For A Day"
Pat
"The road to a Forever Home is paved with Sleepovers."
Great story! Thanks for sharing, Pat.
I love the visual of her diving into the koi pond, she's such a fun, silly, loving girl!
I went to visit Hera Sunday, she's as fun, silly, and loving as ever. What a cute little goofball.
Fantastic pictures Melissa!
Morning all -
I woke up today thinking about sweet Hera and hoping someone could give us an update on how she is doing. I miss this girl so much. If you're volunteering at BF anytime soon, please stop by and say Hello to Hera for me!! She'd so enjoy someone spending some time with her, petting that gorgeous head and snuggling.
Love you Hera!
We spent some time in her run with her while voleenteering in Aug. and your right what a BIG LOVER. I got a few pics. not the best but here they are..
I was able to spend some time with Hera last week in her run. I wanted to take her for an outing, but she is not allowed on outings. She was her usual lovable self and it seems like there's more of her to love than there was in April. At one point she was running around with a stick in her mouth and tried to run into her doghouse. I wish I had been filming as the stick crashed into both sides of the dog house. Hera was of course not phased by this at all and continued to run around with the stick in her mouth. I hope that things change soon so that she can get out again.
lol, she does seem a little chunkier! must be because she's refusing to walk, silly girl. I hope she can overcome that little hiccup so she can enjoy more trail time!
Hera you have a nice new green harness coming your way and in January I'll be back to try it out.
Mike, thank you SO much for purchasing Hera's new harness! I think this harness will REALLY help her on her walks. (And she needs to go on more walks as she is getting a bit...ahem, chunky.) Isolde will bring the harness tomorrow, and after walking Coconut, I'll walk Hera. We all appreciate your generosity so very much. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Jeanne,
Good luck with walking Miss Hera. I know how "challenging" she can be. Please give her a few extra smooches for me. I'll get to see her in the middle of January. I hope she's cleared for outings by then.
Mike
