Scratch just moved over to the Lodges from Amra's where he was a real favorite among the volunteers.  He was a Katrina survivor and came to Best Friends from the Spindle Top Rescue.  He had a horrible skin condition which caused him to lose a lot of his hair, but with great medical care here at Best Friends he's turned into quite the handsome fellow.

Scratch is  mellow and well behaved.  He loves sleep overs, outings, hikes and of course belly rubs are high on his list as well.  Scratch really isn't fond of other dogs, so he will need a home where he can be your "one-and-only".

Read how you can provide that special forever home that Scratch has been waiting for.

Fabulous photo provided by Kathy, Amra's caregiver.

That is a FANTASTIC picture of Scratch!

I know he will be very much missed over at Amra.  Lucky for Scratch, he can now choose to stay indoors if he so chooses.  Which, undoubtedly is where he'll be found most of the time!  Take good care of this boy (as I know you all will!).

Any idea where exactly he's located?

Kathy takes fabulous photos, doesn't she?  I couldn't help myself and borrowed it.  He deserves to be shown off at his best.

I think he's on the Deja side.  I'll definitely check in on him when I'm there on Monday.

Thank you, and pictures also? I wish I could adopt him, but have two dogs now and one is not really fond of other dogs.

Scratch is on the Deja's side.  I took him on a long hike the other day, and he loved it!  He is so sweet, and his kisses are soft and gentle.  Another dog I am completely smitten with....

How can you not love him?  He's my fave (ssshhhh... don't tell the others)!  I'm so glad he has Jeanne to look after him.

Okay, it's not from the Lodges, but he needs a picture:

Surely you have more than just that one?

Can there ever be enough "Scratch-material"?

I had to go see Scratchymagee and get in some quality zoomy time with him. He seems happy and is usually found snuggling inside. I've got tons of pictures of him from Clubhouse, i'll try to post soon.
