A Day in Their Paws

Imagine you visit your local animal shelter, and instead of just dogs in their kennels, you find humans! Join the Brittany Foundation on November 7th for A Day in Their Paws,  a day of festivities and fun, but more importantly a day to bring awareness to the plight of millions of discarded pets flowing into our country's  shelter systems.

With our animal shelter population at epedemic levels, Brittany Foundation board members and volunteers are going on "lock-down" in the kennels with adoptable dogs for a 24-hour period. They will live for one day how these dogs live every day.  Freedom for breaks, food, etc., can only be taken when time has been sponsored or purchased. Donations can be made as follows:

via paypal on  Brittany Foundation website

-mail check to Brittany Foundation, P.O. Box 738, Acton, CA 93510

-Open House on Saturday, November 7 from 11 am to 5 pm at the Brittany Foundation in  Agua Dulce at the corner of Sierra Highway and Anthony Road

The Open House will feature sanctuary tours, raffle and silent auction prizes, delicious baked goods and refreshing Margo’s Bark Root Beer. And of course an opportunity to sponsor a kennel pass for a human! The sponsorship rate is $1 per minute, so every one of those dollars counts!

Brittany Foundation volunteer Rene Succa-Ruston is planning to spend 24 hours with Candy, a big, goofy, loveable American pit bull terrier. “For those of you who know me well, you are all too aware of my complete disdain for any type of camping activity, so your donations to my freedom are greatly appreciated!”  quips Rene. “Please send to your friends, help buy my freedom and more importantly:  help us continue to save lives.”
