Welcome! Please post your "animals in need" items here. : Help Kitty Penny Go from Santa Cruz, CA to a Forever Home in Washinton State

I work on the Univ. of CA campus in Santa Cruz and rescued a cat, Penny, in October '07 who had been abandoned on campus. My vet donated an initial exam, vaccines, and spaying, and I've been caring for her for the past year, including getting her boosters. She is a lovely cat with humans, but is completely hostile to other animals. I have two other cats and for the past year I've been trying to play peace-keeper, but this hasn't worked out. I've found a new home for Penny, where she will be an only pet. The problem is that this home is with a knitting friend outside Seattle, Washington, and I have no way of getting Penny there. Her new mother is currently pregnant, so in addition to boosters, I've also put a toxoplasmosis titer (Penny tested negative) on my credit card. I've considered doing a single day flight up and back and taking Penny as carry-on, but I don't have the money for this and really, really don't want to run my credit card debt up any higher (I've worked it down to $4,000 over the past year, and am trying to keep it moving downward).I am hoping that the Best Friends Network might be able to hook me up with someone going from the Monterey Bay Area or San Francisco Bay Area to Seattle in the near future who could take Penny along. I would be glad to drive her for an couple hours to get her to someone who can take her the rest of the way--I just can't manage the full trip myself right now.
