A friend of ours in southeast Michigan has six horses for whom she must find homes. Her partner/cousin died, and Nan cannot take care of the horses alone (she's not young and not in the best of health). She would give the horses away and/or even contribute toward some of their upkeep. We're just trying to tell everyone, in hopes that someone might give Nan some leads.

She has been contacting many sanctuaries and rescue groups. You probably won't be surprised to hear that most are already full. If you know of someone who might have room for another horse or two -- or if you hear of someone in the near future -- please let me know.
