WSPA, Ayuda Work Together for Lake Atitlan Basin Initiative
Yesterday in Guatemala City we had a terrific meeting with Max Brandt, our good friend and the Member Society Development Manager for WSPA (World Society for Protection of Animals). Max is based in WSPA’s Costa Rica office, which is our Regional Headquarters.
In between his many activities, such as conducting a fund raising workshop, Max was able to spend a couple of dedicated hours with Ayuda.
Topics from our meeting with Max included upcoming plans to more effectively approach the problem of humane education in the Guatemalan public schools, as well as brain-storming discussions for an exciting new project in the Lake Atitlan region.
We greatly look forward to partnering with all WSPA Member Societies, as well as the WSPA organization itself. As plans progress, additional animal protection, human health and environmental groups will be invited to participate! Stay tuned for reports about this new, ground-breaking project!
Thanks as always for your time, Max. It was very encouraging and fun!
