Aaahhh...this is the life!
Five happy rabbits moved out of the Rabbit Rescue ranch in Reno to their new permanent home in New Mexico. Any home would have been fine with them --- as long as there were people to cozy up to, regular feedings and other companions to play with, they figured they’d have it made in the shade. (Shade was also very important, especially this time of year.)
But these lucky guys hit the mother lode. They couldn’t believe their eyes. Their new home was a veritable fantasy bunny mansion!

No expense had been spared. As the newcomers oohed and aahed their way around the compound, they met up with some of the old-timer residents. Some rabbits preferred to loll around in air conditioned comfort circulating through two palatial rooms; others took advantage of the rabbit Olympic-sized fitness center, aka outdoor courtyard. But the best part? The rooms featured built-in bunny doors so they could come and go AS THEY PLEASE! The newbies all agreed: It just doesn’t get any better than this.
Unbeknownst to them, the rabbits share their estate with Margo DeMello, the administrative director of the House Rabbit Society. She designed her custom built home specifically to double as a rabbit sanctuary. Currently 50-60 rabbits enjoy five-star accommodations.
No word yet if the rabbits will be featured on a “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” type of show, but we’ll keep you posted!
