Dr. Mike's weekend "off"
With 1,500 dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, horses, and more at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary on any given day, our chief veterinarian, Dr. Michael Dix, has his hands full. And it's difficult to get away and join in on the rabbit rescue operation.
So Dr. Mike decided to take the weekend "off" and fly up to Reno for just a couple of days to join in the spay/neuter and medical care.
Dr. Mike arrived in Reno Friday around lunchtime, just in time to perform 11 spays and neuters before bed! By then, he was a little too tired to talk about it much, so we'll have to wait for a full report. But he was in bright spirits, and looking forward to spending the rest of the weekend doing more of the same.
