Mercy, you look beautiful in that photo!!
If you want to SEE a change, you have to BE the change.
Mercy & I managed to dodge the raindrops and get a fun hike in today. She greeted me with her trademark tap dance when I entered her run. Such a polite passenger during the car ride into town! The rain was coming down pretty good and I was trying to figure out a ‘Plan B’, but the rain stopped as we arrived at the trailhead. She was unperturbed by the thunder rumbling in the distance. Mercy took the lead but never pulled and she made all the right turns on the trail. I tried to capture her pretty little face with my camera but with limited success as her nose was always to the ground and her attention on the path ahead. A smart little hiker...I expected to give her a workout. I have a feeling that I’m the one who will be sore tomorrow… J
That is awesome that Mercy is your hiking buddy now!!! She is a nice girl.
Mercy Girl!!! Thank you for posting about her!! I adore this girl...You can tell by the tongue that she's been on a good hike! :-)
Hiking with Mercy is like hiking with an old friend; she’s easy to be with. This week’s trail was a little hillier than the one we traveled last week. Mercy waited patiently whenever I had to pause and catch my breath… A little overcast, but a pretty fall day. It's my pleasure... She's such a love!! Hope to get out with her once a week or so; will try to post regular updates. Thanks for your feedback! I'll let her know you were asking for her. :-)
She is an absolute love!! I'm so glad you're spending some time with her, it's unreal to me that she continues to get looked over. I love that sweet girl. I'll be back in November and some time spent with Mercy is definitely on my agenda!
Please do give her a kiss on the head for me! :-) Is Carin still at the Garden?

Yes, Carin is still there. Look forward to seeing you next month!
I decided that I wanted to go to the lake one more time before the snow arrives, so I invited Mercy along for the ride. Today’s outing was more car ride than hike, but Mercy just drifted off to sleep and was happy to participate in whatever the afternoon had in store for us. Mercy waded in to about her ankles at one point, but it was much too chilly for swimming as I knew it would be – having taken along a hat and gloves for the walk. Mercy also let me know early on that she wouldn’t be posing for any close-ups today so things were a bit sparse on the photo front…. When we returned to the car after our walk, she asked politely for her treats and that was the awful point at which I realized they were still sitting on my kitchen counter. So we made a quick detour to Critter Corner on the way back to the Garden and I was back in her good graces by the time I dropped her off.
And later snuggling up close, for the ride home:
Jeri, I love that Mercy is your new project girl!!! She is such a great dog who again leaves me wondering, "why hasn't anyone adopted her???" There has to be someone out there who doesn't have kitties!!!
Hook: Jeri, I love that Mercy is your new project girl!!! She is such a great dog ......

Hey, Amy…..She IS wonderful; but I don’t have to tell you that. She’s very calm, yet her energy level never ceases to amaze me. We went hiking on Wednesday and she seemed bound & determined to reach the top of a rather steep hill we started up towards the end of our outing. I’m starting to regard her as my personal fitness trainer. J You’ll be happy to know that she has been getting squeaky toy time when we ride around in the car. (Send me a Network message when you get a chance.)
This week we went to the Sand Dunes. Better pictures of the dunes than of Mercy, I'm afraid. Oh well.... we had fun.
I love the dunes!! I haven't been able to spend alot of time there, but they are spectacular!! And Miss Mercy is getting so many fun times with you! I think you might be the Garden Doggies special angel!
