In a partnership with several rescues in Oklahoma and Arkansas, Tails Humane Society took in many dogs originally rescued in Oklahoma. These were transported to Illinois, and adopted out at the yearly fundraising event.

Connie Guthrie from Save Our Strays noted “In Sunday's parade in the Chicago area most of the dogs/puppies in the parade was from our transports. Everyone looks to be having lots and lots of fun!! Beth Drake with Tails Humane Society in DeKalb Illinois took these dogs. They have taken 400 of our moms, puppies and little dogs since June 1st of this year. The puppies and little dogs come from Tina (Forever Friends Humane Society in Sallisaw) and Shana in Arkansas. And we do the transports.”
