Shiva is doing well here at home! She makes little baby steps that excite me from time to time. It may not seem exciting to most, but I was thrilled when Shiva went pee while on leash for the first time on 10/29. Then on 11/9 she jumped in the car all by herself to go on a hike with the other dogs, without having to be leashed up first to be coaxed outside. Of course the garage door was closed! Haven't gotten THAT far yet! We're working on touch now. She still flinches if touched unexpectedly, so we spend a little time every day. Hopefully it's not too traumatizing for her. Sometimes I wonder, the poor little thing.

Anyway, Shiva's great! She definitely has identified with her pack now, and wags when going outside with them. She's very attached to my big Newfie mix Bear, and does not want to walk without him now. She will if he's nowhere around, but if he's with us and stops to smell something, so does Shiva, and she won't continue again unless he's leading.

What a precious little angel. So sad that she is so shy.. if any one can bring her around, with Jen's special love and care, she surely will.

Bramble is still in Foster Care and doing very well. She goes to visit Connie on occasion which is really cool!

I took Jackson out for a walk last week, and he got farther than Angie thought he'd go before turning around. Then I spent some time giving him love in his run. His run mate Sweetie Pie is super loveable as well. He definitely likes the pretty girls! We wanted to take him for a sleepover later in the week, but they told us at dog HQ that we coudn't take him. I'm hoping it was because some asked before us!

Rugby left for his new home at a breed specific rescue in Oregon this past weekend. It's actually run out of a couple's home, so he will get lots of love and attention until his forever family comes along!

I have bee wondering about Chelsea???? Then i saw something that she is in fostercare waiting to be adopted, any news on this?? She is one of the sweetiest doggies i've ever got to meet. Just wondering how she is doing?? LOL to everybody else...

To see that my Shar Pei Mix Sweetheart is having a great time at Best Friends is such a thrill!

Kali is such a great girl and it makes me so happy to see her signature head tilt, her double dew claws and those fantastic forehead wrinkles again. So many people pulled together to get her to Best Friends, it was awe-inspiring.

When I drove her to the airport a few weeks ago her forehead was VERY wrinkly - she didn't know what was going on! She looked so relieved in the pictures of her trip to Best Friends (she got to take a walk in Zion National Park along the way and sleep in a hotel) and to seeing her look so happy makes me so happy. Although she may be a little opinionated with other dogs she is gentle and affectionate with people. I will miss visiting her in person but know she has hit the jackpot by finding a spot at Best Friends.

I heard from the lady (Cari) who helped rescue Kali (she was know as Casey then) from the shelter as she was on the PTS list. A lady from North Carolina offered to pay her boarding so they could get her off the clock. Cari tried really hard to get her adopted and it did happen, but she was bossy with another dog and the person who adopted freaked out and returned her. That was when they contacted BF and Casey was on her way to Utah! The lady from NC flew to Vegas and drove her up herself. When Cari found out I was visiting BF this coming weekend (it somehow got posted on the Internet) she contacted me and asked me to check in on Casey. After looking around I found her here! I'll be in to visit the 15th or 16th to see her precious girl.

Here is a picture of her with a feather boa. Cari wrote - "She's not really a frilly dog, but I was trying to help her stand out in adoption emails that went out (before Best Friends) since she is a girl with "star quality,"".

Thought you might like a little more background on her.
