If the inventor of the leash had just one dog in mind, it was Julep. This boxer girl just loves walks, in fact she loves every activity involving people. She probably enjoyed lots of walks and attention from her first person. Unfortunately her person slipped into a coma and there was no one there who could care for Julep. That's how she came to Best Friends.

Julep just moved over from another area called Amra's. To check out some cool photos and reviews from her caregivers there, here's the link to Julep's life at Amra's . You can see from the photos she's into naps and "zoomies" as much as walks. Julep is the total package.

Julep adores people, however is particular about other dogs.  Anyone available who can provide a home where she can be the only princess in residence?  She's also quite the climber, so a secure fence should surround her castle.

Read more about how you can adopt Julep .

Hello, Julep, you beautiful thing! Paul and Lori loved you at Amra's, and we are sure you will be a big hit at the Fairway!

Julep is a delight on a sleepover, and she is as beautiful and affectionate a dog as you will ever meet. She is a sweetheart and a delight. If you get a chance, stop in and meet this wonderful dog!

It was our pleasure to sponsor Julep this month.

Julep, we will be there in November. We hope some lucky family will adopt you by then; if not, we want you to come out with us for a sleepover.

Julep has a NEW FRIEND!!!! Funny story.... We weren't entirely sure that Julep was ever going to have a run mate because each time we tried to introduce her to a new friend, she would stalk them. Yes... like a cat, only a little more intimidating.

Anyway, a potentially scary and dangerous situation presented itself a couple of days ago. Thank goodness it turned out the way it did..... A volunteer coming back from a walk with Carli accidentally put her in the wrong run!!! It was Julep's run. Another caregiver, Angie, was working by herself that day and was in the other octagon when it happened. When Angie looked out the window, she immediately saw the mistake and ran down to separate the two. But when she got into the run, what did she find....... Julep and Carli PLAYING like they were long lost buddies!

This may not seem like much, but we are soooooo excited that Julep has found a friend! They play all the time now, and it is the CUTEST thing in the world to watch! And since they are so happy with each others company, we've decided to make them run mates. Who would have thought!?! Yay Julep!!! We're so happy for you!

Hooray for Julep!!!! This really does mean so much for her, it opens up so many more adoption possibilities. And friends with another girl dog, which is harder than a boy girl combo right? Good girl Julep!

It's wonderful to hear that Julep has found a friend! It's so nice to watch two dogs interact when they've found a special companion in each other. Cudos to Carli for befriending Julep as well...it's a special dog who can buddy up to the more picky ones.

Well, as many of you know, Julep's friend Carley got adopted last week, which was kind of sad for Julep since it was the first friend we were able to find for her. Well... I think we've figured her out. All it takes is a confident pup that wants to play, AND that can handle Julep giving them the "stare down" for the first minute they are introduced. If the new friend is still willing to play after Julep's big intimidation tactics, then it's all good! So we are happy to announce that Julep has a new run mate...... Noah!!! And they are even more cute together then she and Carley were!!!

SO CUTE !!!

How splendid!

And you're right -- Noah doesn't look even the least bit intimidated. Best wishes to both wonderful dogs.

The intro was actually very funny! Julep did her big stare down thing, trying to circle Noah. He just kept turning with her, wagging the whole time as if to say ".....wanna play?" Then she did! :)

How are things with Julep and Noah these days?

I just love the picture where they stop playing and smile at the camera.
