This is Rugby!  He was born in April 2009 and is still just a puppy.  He is the youngest little man here at the Fairway at only 6 months old!  He is a happy, very smart little boy, and very eager to learn new things.  We just introduced him to his new runmates Julep and Flynn, and he is having a ball!  They both love him and it is really entertaining to watch them all play.  Rugby and Flynn are only 3 months apart in age, so when Julep has had enough, these guys just keep on going!  Rugby is also extremely affectionate with visitors.  Although we discourage jumping up, if you are at his level, Rugby loves to give "hugs".  It is obvious he is a very sensitive soul.

I had the pleasure of working with Rugby a couple of times in puppy socialization back in July. He is a VERY smart boy, and especially sweet.  Here is a picture from one of our sessions when Gail was helping us -- what a little heartbreaker!!

I met Rugby in Vegas and let me tell everyone....he is a super smart guy!  The Petsmart trainer took him under her wing and he learned a few tricks in about 5 minutes and he sat through a class!  She tried so hard to get him adopted that day!  He is very cute and very sweet.  Whoever adopts Rugby will be very lucky!

We took Rugby on a sleepover last week and he was great!!  He loves to play, but also calms down nicely.  He slept in the crate that is in the cottage, even though the bed was wide open.  He really liked it in there.    It is hard to believe he is so young - don't get me wrong, he is very playful - but he is so well behaved!!  He also knows sit and down - very smart boy.  He will make someone a perfect pet!!

Rugby left for his new home at a breed specific rescue in Oregon this past weekend.  It's actually run out of a couple's home, so he will get lots of love and attention until his forever family comes along!

Wow!! I hardly recognized Rugby. I worked with him in puppy sessions at BF in July. Good luck, little buddy!! You are one of the fastest learners I ever met!
