Classroom Dissection's Impact On Wildlife and Environment
By the Editors of E/The Environmental Magazine

Dear EarthTalk:
Are the animals used in classroom dissection taken from the wild? If so, wouldn't this be endangering their populations? Are there other environmental issues associated with classroom dissection?

I am not 100% sure about all schools but I remember when I was in high school my science teacher said that he ordered his animals for dissecting all comes from a company who has a farm which brreds frogs worms etc... which I don't like the idea of it but atleast that way it's a company breeding them and they are captive bred and not just caught from the wild.
