Paws to Read program lets kids read aloud to tail-wagging audience

Marshall MacDonald is reading to an audience that would warm even a vice-principal’s heart.

The seven-year-old, with a book in one hand, tells a tale about owls that just won’t go to sleep.

The listener sits captivated, lapping it all up his tail thumping the floor.

He’s a brilliant yellow Labrador retriever named Cody.

"It’s fun. Lots of fun," Marshall said shortly after reading Cody three different books on animals.
