Art for the Animals
Cyrus Mejia's "The 575 Project" is now a book
Artist and Best Friends founder Cyrus Mejia has worked on his art display "The 575 Project" for many years. The idea came to him from figuring out how many domestic animals were killed every hour in the United States. He set about making artistic displays to illustrate that.
His installations take up a great deal of studio space, and the logistics of taking his displays on the road prohibit the number of people he can reach. Now, through photos and descriptions, anyone can view his works in a book available on
lulu.com.
