Rikki's Refuge

A labor of love

Rick McDonald, one of our wonderful Network volunteers, just wrote a story about his visit to Rikki's Refuge. You can read it on the Viriginia website here.

I noticed when visiting their donation page that one of the options is "Sew, crochet, build stuff"! Well, you know my eyes perked up at that option.

So, I clicked over to the Fun Stuff section, where they have patterns for many different kinds of crafts and they welcome you to make some for them or for your own pets.

Which is exactly why it's been listed on the Resources page under the Building for our Buddies folder for an age. :-)

Okay, now we're actually going to have to go and post more than a few "build, crochet, knit, make" things on that page.

Actually, what the cats would really, really love are some outdoor jungle gyms if anybody is interested. And, of course, they can't get enough beds and those little knitted squares for the sick and elderly cats.

Crafted things to sell at events are always welcome too.
