Selena K is one busy kitty!

Here’s how she describes herself:

I am a feral-turned-domestic housecat. My earliest memory is living with my brother and sister in a pile of firewood. We were just four weeks old. Luckily, a kind animal-lover discovered us and managed to find us homes. I now live with my new brother Osiris and the crochet-crazy wife of an animator. We spend many an afternoon crocheting together.

Selena makes it sound like all she does is lay around the house and crochet, but she does far more than that! Her CrochetKitten website promotes Cuddles for Kitties for less fortunate cats who live in cages. She gives several patterns, as well as fliers you can print out to round up crocheters to help your local shelter. As if helping other cats isn’t enough, Selena crochets for Heavenly Angels in Need, a group that helps babies and children.

CrochetKitten also has free patterns, tutorials and reference charts.

On top of all that, Selena has a blog and a Café Press shop which benefits Alley Cat Allies! How she finds time to rescue other kittens I’ll never know.
