Meet Stu. Stu is new! (I think this is about to turn into a Dr. Seuss book.)
Stu came to us from local animal control, an unclaimed stray, and well... we can't believe it. He's as close to a perfect dog as I've ever met! Most of us think he's a lab/beagle mix - he looks like a small, long lab with short legs, maybe 25-30lbs, around two years old. He's very affectionate, extremely well behaved, totally cute, got unbelievable marks on his behavior assessment, and so far has been a perfect gentleman. He's only been here a few days but he's gone on sleepovers every night! Stu also lives in a run with 3 other dogs, male and female, two of whom have a reputation for being hard to get along with - but he does! He loves belly rubs and affection and is a very calm, self assured little guy. Come meet Stu, but hurry - he won't be here long!
Adopt Stu!
Can't wait to meet Stu! I like his socks.
Stu likes to cuddle with his toys.
Stu on one of his first sleepovers with Diane.
Stu goes out on a mobile adoption event tomorrow morning... I think he's got a great shot at being adopted!
Good luck, Stu! I'd like to meet you when I am out there in a couple weeks, but it would be even better if you find your forever family this weekend!
One more picture, can't resist:
Here is a picture of Stu waiting patiently under my chair as I had dinner on a restaurant patio tonight. The perfect little gentleman. o
When I first read about Stu I thought there would be no chance that he would still be at BF in early October for my visit. I don't know how he could have been passed over at the mobile adoption show. I got to walk him and spend a little time with him and he was such a perfect little dog. I went to my car to get some water and he decided to jump in.
I love Stu! Is he not the cutest thing?
I spent some time with Stu while volunteering at DT last week. Everything that John says about him is so true. He's just so lovable & affectionate. I sat with him and one of his run mates, Daphne, for about half an hour one day. He loves belly rubs. I stopped for a moment to take a drink of water. He scooted himself closer to me, put his head in my lap and looked up at me as if to say, "More please." Miss you Stu!
How has he not been adopted yet??
Stu has been MOVED to the Clubhouse - and although we're sorry to see him go, we hope that the increased volunteer traffic in that area will put him in front of someone who will fall in love with him and take him home! Good luck, Stu!
Ahhhh .. Stu Meat.
I miss you, buddy! I bet you'll go to your forever home real soon now that you are in the bright lights of Dogtown Heights. We'll miss you so much at C&L! If you are still around we'll do another sleepover the next time I am at BF, but I am thinking someone is going to snatch you up soon.
Nice bio on Stu. Glad I got to know him before he was moved (actually on the day he was moved). Everything said about him is so true. He was sooooooo well behaved on his sleep over with us.
