2007 Dates Confirmed
September 2006 proved to be a successful poker run and adoption event with our local Zion Harley Davidson dealership.

The vision for 2007 is Bikers For Best Friends will promote and organize a national event to take place on Sat 22nd Sept 2007. Harley Davidson dealerships throughout the United States will be invited to participate. There will be poker runs with the proceeds going to local animal rescues and shelters with adoption events taking place at the dealerships.

I personally envisage this being the largest event ever of Bikers showing their kindness towards animals and with your support we can make this possible.

Please support the Bikers For Best Friends Network Community by signing up now.

You guys did a great job organizing last year's ride! I had a wonderful time, not only riding but meeting and chatting with the folks who attended the event. I borrowed the hubby's bike for last year's ride but had such a good time, I went out and bought my own bike! Count me in on the next one!

Yvonne- does it have a side car for Metro? :)

I know this article says that Harley dealerships throughout the U.S. will be invited to attend. There's a Harley place about ten minutes from where I work. Would it do any good to contact them and share this info? We have three shelters in this city not to mention a dozen rescue organizations. I suspect that since the Trail of Tears ride goes through here (Huntsville, AL), there would be a lot of bikers in the region who might be interested.

I've never even been on a Harley (although I have been inside the store....) just trying to find a way to spread the word in my own backyard.

The sidecar for Metro made me laugh! I'm not so sure Metro would like the wind rushing through his bristles so much. Now Jack, our pot bellied pig (and part dog, I think) who loves to be walked would probably love it, however I'm sure Jack would want really cool glasses and a scarf!

So.. did Momacita in the video go to her forever home? Great videos and what a fun event! Maybe I should learn how to ride!

As the director of Tennessee's newest and largest pig sanctuary...The Pig Preserve....we applaud the people who ride "hogs" for the animals. Our rescued potbellied pigs and our rescued farm pigs can't ride, but then they don't have to convince anyone that they are "real hogs". Good luck and have a safe, fund ride.

I would love to help in any way i can. Harrisburg Harley Davidson is near me as well as the Harley Davidson Plant in York, PA.
Harrisburg Harley probably already participates but if they don't i would be more than glad to talk to them about it. Please let me know what i can do to help with this event.

Hi Ross. Is Whitt's HD in Manassas participating? How does a rescue get signed up? Thanks.

Hi Ross, I was wondering if you had contacted Chunky River Dealership in Meridian, Ms. Would love to have a local ride here for Best Friends.

The Montgomery Humane Society would like to join in this. That's Montgomery Alabama.
How do we get started?
