Big Sunday, the largest regional community service weekend in America, is almost here!! Best Friends' Brigade has been invited to help with one of the projects – repairing and refurbishing the Lancaster Animal Shelter. This is an exciting opportunity for us to make a real difference in the lives of the many animals housed in this LA County facility.

Some of the things they would like help with include:
- Sanitizing their clinic from top to bottom
- Roof repair
- Horse corral repair
- Art mural project
- Play yard repairs and expansions
- Adding mister systems
- Sorting donations

The project takes place on Sunday, May 3, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The Lancaster Shelter is located at 5210 W. Avenue I, Lancaster, CA 93536. The shelter will be closed to the public that day. We will carpool from the Best Friends office in Sun Valley – leaving by 7:30 am.
