ADOPTED: ZEKE
SuperBowl Sunday Dog!
Meet Zeke.
Man-oh-man-oh-man, do I DIG THE SH*T out of this dog.
Zeke is a 115 pounds of big DOG lovin'.
He looks like he should be kickin' back with a group of manly men, watching football & drinking beer on a Sunday afternoon.
How do I classify Zeke?
That is the question.
I am guessing he is a St. Bernard/Mastiff mix.
Some folks think he is a fancy European breed called a "Leonberger" (which to me sounds like a type of cheese that goes really well with a zesty glass of Pinot Grigio).
I don't know if he is Leonberger or not.
Some random fellow at the West Hollywood Park today was convinced Zeke is a Leonberger.
But this same guy got his last dog from a breeder.
Once I heard that...I kind of stopped listening to him. (I'm so bad!)
We pulled Zeke out of South LA as he was a "New Hope" critter...meaning his time was limited.
People say that a dog is lucky when a rescue group pulls him from the shelter.
But I feel we are the lucky ones as this dog is so special.
This dog is a gentle giant.
He is very good in the car.
He was very good at our adoption today.
He is also very mellow.
He doesn't appear to even notice other dogs or cats.
And yes, we had his basketball size balls removed and we gave him a micro-chip.
He's in good health!
Everything about this dog is big.
You know when you have been drinking and you have to go to the bathroom really, really, really bad...but there is a line to use the restroom, so you have to wait even longer??
And then once you finally get to use the restroom, you go for a really, really, really long time?
That is how long Zeke goes when he goes to the bathroom.
It is so cute.....he pees longer than any dog I have ever seen in my life....and he is just too big to lift his leg.
It is absolutely adorable.
I am going to insist that only the most special home gets to adopt Zeke.
He was one of the most popular dudes at our adoption....without even trying.
If you think you can offer Zeke a loving home, please feel free to e-mail or call me.
Thank you for making adoption your first option!
