FOR ADOPTION: RED
This loving, kissy, sweet, good-natured, CALM boy seems to be the ultimate, low-maintenance dog
Age: 6 - 8 years old
He was rescued after spending three days in the Tujunga wash. He showed signs of both abuse and neglect but seems to hold no grudge what-so-ever and just loves the attention of people even just a nice pat on the head. He's very people focused, and usually just ignores other dogs in his sphere, though I've been told he can be intimidating with small dogs (and barks at cats). No idea how he is with kids. No idea about house training. He pulls on leash, but has been receptive to brief training sessions, so I'm sure he could be taught to walk beside his person. Red will chase a ball, but doesn't seem to have a clue about returning it (he could probably learn, tho!). I think he'd be fine as the only dog, and would make a great apartment dog, due to his relaxed nature, and the fact that he doesn't bark much. His history of being picked-up by animal control suggests that he's an escape artist, so I wouldn't recommend he be left outside alone.
