I was lucky enough to have a rescue of mine accepted into Best Friends. Her animal help person was Medhi Issacs, and I have to credit her with seeing the potential that I saw in this beautiful girl. Dara is missing part of her lower jaw and was not readily accepted her in Alabama. Dara was quickly loved at BF and was made their new office dog, maybe you guys saw her on the home page as "the escape artist" this week. Well the conclusion of this is that Dara was adopted this past weekend!! She was there only 6 weeks. My heartfelt thanks go out to all the people at Best Friends, but especially Meda in Animal Help and Kristi Littrell in adoptions... These guys are the best!!!!

I MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is such a blessing :) Thank you, Thank you and Thank you to all that was involved in making Dara's life complete. This is wonderful news.

P.S. Please give updates on this special girl (I fell in love with her immediately), She is a cutie pie and I would love to know how she blossoms or escapes(he,he). Not too far Ella!

That's so exciting! My sisters and I took Dara on a sleepover when we were at Best Friends last month. It killed me not to be able to take her home.

Woo hoo!
What a sweet pea!
Wished I could have brought her home with me but it just wasn't doable.
Good luck with her. She's such a good girl.

That's exciting. I didn't know they were allowing her to overnight. She must have had a great time! She sure loves attention.
Thanks for caring about her!

She was adopted by a local couple. They are from St George a few miles away from Kanab. The husband travels a lot and the wife wanted a companion. Ella will be great for her. They say that they were very surprised at how well she settled in!!!! They should have met her when I rescued her, she had been a yard dog and had no clue what to do in a home. she sure came a long way!!!!!

This is AWESOME news!!!! Dara was my first ever sleepover dog when I was at BF for my first visit in October. She was a perfect dog. I warned everyone that if she was still there in the spring when I visit again I would find a way to take her home. My dogs will be happy to hear that they won't have to be sharing me any more than they already do.
