Georgia State Patrol Saves Guinea Pig
Officer rescues abandoned guinea pig

Article

Georgia State Patrol Cpl Kyle Duke was patrolling some of the out of the way roads in Decatur County. He saw what he thought was a pile of trash and got out to check it.

What he found was an abandoned guinea pig in a cage. Cpl Duke loaded up the starving animal and transported her to the animal shelter.

The Bainbridge Humane Society thanks Cpl Kyle Duke for his kind actions.

They have named her Babe and she is available for adoption.

Thank you so much Cpl Duke! It never ceases to amaze me that some people have so little regard for God's creatures. A few years back I rescued a guinea pig that someone released in a wooded area near a public park. I hope "Babe" finds a wonderful forever home soon.
