Horse Rescue & Natural Horsemanship
Horses need rescue and humane care, too! As of February 2007, over 100 horses have been rescued by The Utah Animal Adoption Horse Rescue Program and there are 42 currently in the program.
All of the horses live in approved foster homes which provide the TLC. The program pays for the feed, hoof trimmer and veterinary care. Volunteer trainers familiar with Parelli Natural Horsemanship (PNH) provide the training for horses who come into the program with training issues.
This week, February 19-23rd, Misti Seppi of Utah Animal Adoption Center teaches us about taking in horses in need and caring for and training them with gentle techniques such as the Parelli method.
Misti Seppi will be responding to comments/questions June 19-23
