MONTPELIER, VT - While some might spend October 30 carving a pumpkin or stocking up on candy, those who truly want to be ready for Halloween will be seeing live owls at the Unitarian Church of Montpelier (on Main Street) from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.
The North Branch Nature Center brings you “Creatures of the Night,” a program all about these mysterious hunters of the night. In conjunction with Outreach for Earth Stewardship, a couple of live birds will be on-hand for participants to see and learn about.
- How do owls see in the dark?
- Can they really turn their heads all the way around?
- What do their spooky hoots mean?
All questions will be answered in this up-close and personal experience.
This program is just $5 for adults, $3 for children, and benefits the Nature Center. For more information please call 229-6206 or visit online at www.NorthBranchNatureCenter.org.
