Hi! My name is Julie and I'm in Dallas - was hoping to connect with other Best Friends members in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. I'd like to get some food and toy drives organized this fall, for local shelters. Anyone else interested?

My wife and I live in northern Dallas County, and spend time volunteering at a small dog and cat shelter. Depending on the circumstances, we might well be interested.

BTW, is there a BF DFW Group already established, do any of you know? I don't mean a shelter, just a group of BF members organized in the area? I can't see that there is, but I may be missing something (I often do...).

We just got done with our biggest party of the year (for International Talk Like a Pirate Day. Seriously.), so I can now put my extra curricular attention to this. I'm in Roanoke. I have done several animal transports. One was a Maine Coon from Austin to Ennis. The other was a long haul because the cats had to get to Ohio, but there weren't enough drivers. So, I picked up 4 Maine Coons in Texarkana and drove them up to the next available driver in Lexington, KY. But, it would be nice to do something local as well.
