Is 'Lady' luck a Lab? Best Friends Animal Society doubles funding for Network Charities promotion - look who's already benefiting!

Click here to watch the New Video!Cha-ching, ching, ching, ching! What’s that sound? Could it be organizations across the country applauding the success of the Double Your Impact Challenge? Could it signal that the fundraising opportunities have doubled again? Could it be the pitter-patter of more lives saved?

That would be a resounding yes to all the above!

The original challenge of matched donations to Network Charities from Best Friends started with the goal of reaching $25,000 in 25 days. The response was overwhelming, and the $25,000 from Best Friends has already been matched by the public that has taken the Challenge to a new level of serious generosity. With success coming so quickly, we had to double down and let ‘er ride!

The Best Friends Double Your Impact Challenge has officially anted up – and added another $25,000 to the matching funds coffer – giving all Network Charities an opportunity to acquire a portion of the new total of $50,000 in grant monies from Best Friends, just in time for Christmas. Click here to track donations and help reach the $50,000 goal!

The Network Charities Program helps participating organizations promote their work on the Best Friends Network and introduces them to one of the widest audience of animal lovers on the web, in addition to being a premier fundraising and processing platform! As Gregory Castle, co-founder and interim CEO of Best Friends succinctly put it: "We recognize that it's difficult for many local rescue organizations who are engaged in vital work in the field to get enough funding, let alone build and maintain an online marketing and fundraising campaign. We hope to help with the launch of Best Friends Network Charities, something we think will be an exciting fund-raising aid for organizations in communities across the country who are 'fighting the good fight' on behalf of homeless pets."

From the Mountains to the Valleys to the Word on the Street…
New Network Charities share some feedback on what the Double Your Impact Challenge has meant so far to them:

Adoptable Skipper from Shadow Cats loves napping and fresh laundry“What a great venue Best Friends has provided for all of us out here in foot hills! This is a wonderful opportunity and unprecedented as far as I know. What other organization shares their resources like this and strives to make us successful too? Thank you Best Friends! So here we are, working to get content up on the pages of this site and to attract and draw in likeminded people. I hope as time goes on that we'll have interesting topics and an interactive site. What better way to help the cats and have fun doing it! ,” shared Sheila Smith of Shadow Cats, Texas. Lady from Labrador Friends has a great sense of humor she'd share with you!“We have been working very hard to tell everyone about the challenge and the Best Friends Network and it is paying off.. We think this is a great idea. Many of the people who had adopted from us are responding to the incentive of seeing their donation count double and they are donating (Pumpkin, Bruno, Cheyenne are all LFS adopted rescued dogs). I love our Group page and we will keep posting news about our dogs and events. I hope this event will be an incentive for more rescues in the area to participate in the Network and stay in touch with each other. Thank you again for setting up this. It is a huge help in a moment in which people are reluctant to donate and funds are low,” extolled Elena and Jenny, directors of Labrador Friends. Your donations through Network Charities will help more ferals cared for by Mayport Cats“I have to say THANK YOU for this event! You have no idea how badly we needed this. We have received a wonderful donation that will pay for a lot of spay/neuter and it came at the perfect time! We had another kitten explosion here and we were so worried that we would not have the funds to get these cats TNR'd. Because of this promotion, now we can. On behalf of Mayport Cats, Inc., the residents of Mayport and the cats living here--thank you!,” noted Tammy King of Mayport Cats, Inc. From The Team that Dreamed A Little Dream
“We're truly excited that the Double Your Challenge Promotion is so successful. This promotion is just one way in which the Network Charities program is able to help rescue groups and shelters. We want rescue groups and shelters to really benefit from using the NETWORK, because when they do, we know it will equate to more animals will be saved. So become a fan of your favorite Group on the NETWORK and stay connected with them,” Lavanya Raju, Network Charities coordinator shared with a smile.

“We are all in this life saving work together and the only way we are going to achieve No More Homeless Pets is by sharing resources and supporting each other. We want to provide a vehicle where members and supporters of Best Friends can directly support the work of rescues and shelters working toward a time of No More Homeless Pets,” added Julie Castle, director of Community Programs and Services for Best Friends.
